The AK-47 is no doubt, the most recognizable gun in history. It’s long been a symbol of both freedom and oppression. The AK-47 is manufactured in a variety of countries and imported to the United States. When imported it’s converted to a semi-automatic, making it a great combat rifle.
This review is geared towards the WASR 10. It’s a general purpose gun which was mainly used during the assault rifle ban, which lasted from 1986 to 2006. The internet is full of negative reviews of this gun, some for good reason and others not. Areas for concern include the front sights and disfigured magazine walls. However, there are also many negative reviews simply because of the appearance. While the gun isn’t the prettiest thing on the market, it gets the job done.
In fact, the AK-47 is quite comfortable to shoot and the recoil is manageable. It is well-balanced and not too heavy, making it great for long combat scenarios. It also has a good length of pull, overall it’s a pretty great gun. The magazine is a loading rock-and-lock style, making it easy to use. While the AK-47 is a fairly simple no frills gun, it does well in regards of price and quality. The rifle has a slanted muzzle brake along with a ribbed receiver cover. It also has a built-in vertical grip, which is great as it has no bulges. What’s even better is that this gun features many add-ons for those not pleased with the stock design.
While there are many different AK’s available, they all have the same basic features. However, where it’s bought greatly affects the price. For example, an AK bought in the Soviet Union may cost upwards of $1500, while a Romanian AK can be purchased for roughly $300. The only main difference in each model? The historic value.
The WASR-10 is a great gun for scary end-of-the-world scenarios. After all, it’s a trusty gun with a lot of fire power. Each clip contains 30 rounds which all perform at near 100 percent certainty. Even better, is that the ammo for the AK-47 is fairly easy to come by, and might I add – Cheap! In fact, the 7.62x39mm is perhaps the most common rounds in the entire world.
Overall, the AK-47 is a powerful and affordable firearm with a lot of punch. It’s simple, affordable and easy to maintain. It performs well in rugged scenarios and is incredibly reliable. It’s arguably one the most accurate and functional firearm on the market. There are so many assault rifles for sale on the market today, many of them are very good weapons but dollar for dollar, few can surpass AK. For those looking for a great rifle, the AK-47 is definitely it.
